Doug has had a
life-long interest and fascination in all things paranormal and
therefore founded the Scientific Paranormal Investigation, Research,
and Identification Team (SPIRITeam) to help people understand and
resolve paranormal activity. Over the last four decades, Doug has
become educated in the field and continues to grow his knowledge
regularly. In the fall of 2007, he completed a cutting-edge home
study course to train SPIRITeam members and others to be top-notch
and professional investigators of paranormal phenomena. To further
education in the paranormal field, Doug co-organized the ParaNexus
Conference, along with his close friend and colleague, Jari Mikkola.
Doug has
an open mind and a deep belief in the indomitable power of the human
spirit. His greatest area of interest and research in the paranormal
field is the impact that a person's unique socio-religious and
cultural beliefs have on the type and extent of any paranormal
activity experienced by the individual. Doug is also a certified
Hypnotist, and for two years, co-operated a hypnosis center in Port
Charlotte, Florida along with his best friend and wife, Tracy.
Secularly, Doug is a human potential speaker, trainer,
author of five books, coach, and consultant. He specializes in assertive
leadership and advanced communication and
negotiation skills. Doug can be contacted via his website at
www.SPIRITeam.org or
